One other thing I just noticed: in the dimly tinted light of the ship. Is this not set on the planet, after the radiation room scene? In which case, I don't think they were in the ship, but beneath it, from what I remember, i.e. in the silo. Not sure what the term for that sort of place is.
(And I love this icon. It's by becky_h - she used this picture of Jack for a Jack/Fifth Doctor icon and I asked if I could have one with just the Jack picture and she added the - instructions, as you called them - as a sort of bonus!)
