It really does seem like you just have to click in a different mindset when you're trying to write Joker fic. Definitely. I really didn't realize (or at least care) until after I finished that I felt any different -- I think the act of getting into his head is just so insanely fun you don't really notice there's something wrong with it until you pull away.
