1. Such a Pretty Girl by Laura Wiess
2. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
3. Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
4. Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
5. New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
6. A Million Little Pieces by James Frey
7. Gunslinger Girl Vol. 1 by Yu Aida
8. The Angel of Darkness by Caleb Carr
9. The Cement Garden by Ian McEwan
10. Night by Elie Wiesel
The Angel of Darkness: Lazlo Kreizler has my heart. As does Mr. Carr for creating him and these two brilliant novels. That is all.
The Cement Garden: Short and sweet - like one long, languishing summer day with touch of creepy and a bit of incest on the side.
Night: Horrifying and amazing. I kept getting his story mixed up with Gloria's, which throws the reality of it all into stark perspective.
Hopefully my slow-reading self will get something done en France. I was hoping to have A Great and Terrible Beauty done with, but it was not to be.
