Summary: Set during ‘Everything Changes’. Gwen just wants to remember.

The screen went blank just as she typed her final word, the steady hum of the computer coming to a dead stop. Gwen groaned, her heart plummeting with her heavy eyelids as she strained to keep them open. Genius hacking Torchwood bastards. She grabbed up a pen and tried to write with the wrong end before flipping it over and finally getting some good, solid ink out of it. She scrawled quickly, fighting sleep with every fiber of her being as darkness inched across her corneas. She sighed, dropped the pen, slumped forward in her chair and knew no more.

The sun filtered through the gap in the curtains, waking Gwen next morning. She frowned, disoriented, one thing after another plodding to light in her muddled mind. Computer chair. Still clothed. Night before? She raked her brain, coming up with nothing whatsoever. Huh. She looked around. A post-it note pasted next to the keyboard caught her eye. 

Captain Jack Harkness – sexy beyond belief. Probably alien. ♥

Gwen stared at the note, her handwriting glaring up at her as her frown deepened. Well then. She must have been pretty pissed. Or something.
